(To be considered for this opportunity, you must have an IRS Minimum Background Investigation MBI/ 58C Tier 2RS clearance required.  Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizenship required for MBI/58C Tier 2RS.)

TriTech is seeking a "Lead Security Architect" to support a federal client.  This lead security architecture will
serve as IRS key Point-of-Contact for security security-related decisions, drive remediating of security vulnerabilities proactively and based upon security scanning reports, make recommendations for increasing MeF DevSecOps maturity and drive recommendations and provide guidance related to the Portal, which hosts several MeF applications.


MeF is a platform for electronically filing returns with the IRS.  It provides SOA based web services that filers use to submit returns and provides web applications for IRS users to work with the returns.  MeF validates filed returns, determines their disposition, and interfaces with other IRS systems for downstream processing of the returns. 

Primary Duties:
  • Develop and extend MeF security solution architectures – estimated 25%
  • Provide recommendations/architectural options and solutions, especially related to security for migrating MeF to containers and to the Cloud – estimated 25%
  • Coordinate team activities related to security vulnerability remediation and responding to customer requests – estimated 15%
  • Attend meetings and provide recommendations related to the Portal within which MeF applications run – 15%
  • Maintain and/or create contractual deliverables in accordance with IRS templates – estimated 10%
  • Provide LoE estimates for Impact Assessments and VROMs – estimated 5%
  • Provide recommendations for implementing DevSecOps practices on MeF – estimated 5%

Required Skills/Level of Experience:
  • Experience developing, in collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, partners, project teams, and vendors, security architectures for large, complex programs - 8+ years
  • Experience in leading team(s) of architects and/or developers – 8+ years
  • Strong customer communication skills, both oral and written – 8+ years
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in the Cloud – 5+ years
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in containers – 5+ years
  • Experience developing security solutions for AWS GovCloud – 4+ years
  • Experience with microservices security – 4+ years
  • Experience with architecting Spring Boot applications – 4+ years
  • Experience enhancing Portal architectures – 4+ years
  • Experience in developing DevSecOps solutions on complex projects – 4+ years
  • Experience with the Linux platform – 4+ years
  • Experience with CM tools, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM – 4+ years
  • Experience developing (V)ROM estimates in response to requests for new work – 3+ years
  • CISSP Certification
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience developing requirements and architecting solutions for monitoring.
  • Experience with relational database technologies.
  • Experience with CMMI Level 3 Process Areas.
  • Experience with Agile Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure cloud for government and Google cloud for government.
  • Experience with WebMethods, ESB, API Gateways, Event Driven Architecture, and Kafka.
  • Experience with Ping Identity.
