Job Description:

   

Defines high-impact, long-term (i.e., 2-5+ year horizon) business strategies in the Channel. Partners with senior management to identify existing operational and new business opportunities, and other growth strategies. Monitors external factors during strategic development, including market forces, macro/microeconomic factors, and competitive implications. Works with and manages cross-functional project teams. Conducts rigorous, data-driven analyses to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business performance. Develops recommendations for senior management based on competitive market trend and financial data. Manages corporate strategy initiatives and participates in communicating the strategy to the client organization.

Unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, managing and improving existing and new WW channel partner programs that drive optimal execution and results. You will need to collaborate extensively across multiple organizations and regions worldwide to drive commitment and alignment to the global program framework, processes and operating plan, ensuring that the stated business outcomes are achieved.  

The key activities of the Senior Partner Program Manager are:

  • Support the execution of the worldwide channel programs strategy across all regions and multiple partner types in our ecosystem.
  • Lead initiatives to evolve partner programs for maximum efficiency, growth, partner satisfaction and specified business results.
  • Maintain program roadmap and drive projects to optimize the program structure, requirements, and benefits.
  • Support the evolution of our partner business models and understand how to apply to new and existing programs.
  • Research the competitive environment and industry trends to assess new developments that impact the channel and our programs. Publish insights for use in planning. 
  • Utilize a structured and pragmatic program management and problem-solving approach to execute effectively on the defined program design framework and deployment plans.
  • Respond timely to issues. Document, track and communicate program status.
  • Lead the local and regional teams through management of change to transition effectively to future state program models.
  • Develop messaging and communications/collateral as required for each program. Evangelize and promote channel programs to key stakeholders to drive adoption.
  • Negotiate and influence stakeholders to build consensus and alignment for the specified business direction.
  • Manage program compliance and drive global alignment of the program objectives and framework.
  • Establish operating metrics / performance standards for each program. Track business results and performance metrics against the stated objectives

Education and Experience Required:

Typically 8-12 years total experience. Often 4-7 years post- advanced degree experience leading projects, programs and/or company process improvement initiatives. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of channel management, the networking industry, partner business models including resale, managed services, Telco, and SMB market segment. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional/geographic teams to achieve results in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently.
  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and Channel strategies.
  • Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills. Strong negotiation skills to influence stakeholders and build strong consensus required.
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills, including collaborative and conflict resolution, partnering and coaching.
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills to develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Bachelor degree in business, technology, or relevant field of study - or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing, deploying and supporting channel partner programs. Minimum of 15 years of experience managing partner programs in a channel organization.

USD Annual Salary: $115,500.00 - $266,000.00
