Job Description

We are seeking an Enterprise Architect for our Application Development and Integration team who can blend deep technical expertise with exceptional consulting and communication skills. This role requires a leader who can architect and guide the development of complex software systems while fostering strong client relationships. As a senior member of the team, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, leading teams, designing systems, and advising clients to ensure project success.
 

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the design and development of custom applications, integrations, and middleware.
  • Provide technical direction for enterprise-level architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions using modern cloud platforms and development frameworks.
  • Review code, architecture designs, and technical documentation to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices to guide team decisions.

Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, translating these into technical requirements and strategic solutions.
  • Function as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations on technology strategy and system design.
  • Deliver presentations, workshops, and technical demonstrations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, and ongoing communications to ensure alignment and project success.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage direct reports, provide performance feedback, career development, and regular evaluations.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Drive collaboration between cross-functional teams including UX, DevOps, and QA to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Support the professional growth of team members through knowledge sharing and hands-on coaching.

Project Management & Delivery:

  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery in an agile environment.
  • Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to technical delivery, client satisfaction, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Required Experience:

Technical Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
  • Deep expertise in the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Core/Framework, C#, and related software development frameworks, with a focus on designing scalable and secure enterprise applications.
  • Extensive experience in both relational (SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB) databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Active Directory, Azure API Management, and others, as well as deploying and managing Azure infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and YAML.
  • Expertise in APIs and system integrations, utilizing RESTful services, SOAP, and modern API management platforms, with a strong understanding of middleware for facilitating communication between disparate systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, for building responsive and high-performing Single Page Applications.
  • Proven ability to design and implement microservices architectures, including the decomposition of monolithic applications and ensuring loose coupling, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Strong background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Docker for containerization, and infrastructure as code to automate deployments and manage environments efficiently.

Consulting & Soft Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a professional services/consulting environment, delivering technical solutions to external clients, engaging with stakeholders, and managing project delivery timelines.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology strategies with business objectives.

Preferred Experience

  • Azure Certifications or other relevant certifications are a plus.
