LastPass is looking for a Senior Test Engineering Manager
As a Senior Test Engineering Manager you will lead a diverse team of Test Engineering Managers and individual Test Engineers. This team will play a key role in ensuring the quality across a wide range of platforms and product areas.
In addition to overseeing the people management and career development of your team, you will be responsible for guiding quality discussions, managing test planning activities, and maintaining the overall quality health of your assigned areas. As a Senior Manager, you will set quality and test objectives for your product areas and coach other managers to achieve these goals.We are seeking a dynamic leader who can inspire and support their team while driving high-quality standards and continuous improvement.

Who will you work with?
In this role, you will collaborate with your team members and engage with individuals across the engineering organization, including technical project managers, product engineering managers, and architects. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to interact with senior leadership to provide updates on the state of quality within the organization.
As a Senior Test Engineering Manager you will:
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of Test Engineering Managers, individual contributors, and Release Engineers embedded within Agile teams.
- Set clear, measurable targets for quality and testing achievements on a quarterly basis.
- Establish and continuously improve processes and procedures for the testing organization.
- Ensure the team has the necessary competencies and resources to successfully deliver their projects.
- Drive and champion the continued development of test automation.
- Proactively identify and remove blockers to the team’s success.
- Collaborate with team members to establish and achieve goals, providing continuous, constructive feedback.
- Manage delivery timelines and quality expectations, working closely with stakeholders to communicate needs and set clear expectations.
- Own Test Management and the testing approach for cross-team projects and initiatives.
- Guide and support the team through challenging topics, shifting priorities, and evolving demands.
- Understand customer pain points, advocate for delivering real customer value, and represent the voice of quality.
- Provide data-driven insights, metrics, KPIs, and risk assessments to senior leadership to demonstrate the maturity of quality across teams and projects.
- Be actively engaged in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final release to production.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative culture within the testing organization.
- Work with stakeholders and team members to understand and validate compliance and security requirements.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
Technical Leadership
- Establish standards for reporting, metrics, and key indicators of quality.
- Drive the assessment and management of risks from release to release, facilitating clear decision-making regarding quality impacts on our customers.
- Evaluate and provide guidance on tooling, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Guide the team through the entire test lifecycle, from the requirements gathering phase to post-production release activities.
- Drive the continuous improvement of test automation to enhance both testing and development experiences.
Team Development
- Foster the career growth and development of team members.
- Advocate for the team, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to help team members thrive.
- Coach other managers to help them grow in their roles and expand their experience.
Structure and Organization
- Provide structure to the team by defining clear roles, responsibilities, and processes.
