Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our broad client base of Plan Sponsors/Employees, Financial Advisors, CPAs, and other partners while performing technical plan administration at the highest levels. The ideal candidate will have DC Plan Administration experience, strong attention to detail, and superior customer service skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.  


The candidate must:


  • Manage all aspects of the client’s relationship, plan administration, and consulting for up to 80-85 defined contribution plans by taking ownership and being the single point of contact.


  • Perform annual compliance testing for assigned clients (402(g), 415(c), 410(b), ADP/ACP, Plan Limits, Top Heavy, etc.) 


  • Prepare and file IRS Forms (5500 series, 5330, 1099R and other related schedules)


  • Prepare employer plan contribution calculations using all types of allocation methods. 


  • Complete required Minimum Distribution (RMD) determination and processing 


  • Support the retirement plan implementation, conversion, de-conversion, and termination processes. 


  • Provide clients with the necessary direction and resources that help Plan needs (payroll questions, corrections or adjustments and any other plan-related items)


  • Seek ways to improve our processes and services and maintain client and plan data according to set administrative electronic path.


Requirements

The candidate will:


  • Have 5+ or more years’ retirement plan administration experience.


  • Have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or comparable professional work experience.


  • Have proven ability working with plan documents (Basic Plan Document, Adoption Agreement, Summary Plan Description (SPD), Amendments, Summary of Material Modifications (SMM) and annual notices) 


  • Understand the intricacy of plan asset reconciliations, document distributions, including Required Minimum Distribution calculations, contributions, earnings, transfers, adjustments etc. that may have transpired throughout the Plan year.


  • Demonstrate excellence in written and verbal communication.   


  • Be detailed and possess strong organizational skills. 


  • Have superior time management skills adhering to deadlines and timelines. 


  • Be solution oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 


  • Demonstrate a track-record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations. 


  • Have broad knowledge of the retirement plan industry and has obtained a QKA, QPA, APA, CEBS, or other retirement plan designations.  


  • Be proficient with retirement plan software and Microsoft Office applications; FT William Compliance Software experience strongly preferred.
