Position:    Azure Active Directory Engineer
Location : Remote
Pay rate : $60 - 62/hr on w2

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field(s) or 4 years of highly related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in a technical engineering position involving operational upkeep, optimization, and feature expansion of a highly complex enterprise deployment of Active Directory and/OR Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting of issues, vendor relationship and license management, business continuity planning, capacity planning, audit /compliance, disaster recovery and platform maintenance.
  • Relevant Technology or Security certification (MCSE, MCIAAM, MCSA, ADDS – Applied Skills, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, etc) preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration of SSO configurations from PingID to Entra for SSO across various applications.
  • Collaborate with application owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and secure migration process.
  • Develop and implement migration strategies and plans, including risk assessments, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Configure, test, and validate SSO settings and integrations in Entra for each application in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the migration process, providing timely resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices throughout the migration.
  • Document migration processes, configurations, and any changes made during the project.
  • Provide training and support to application owners and IT staff on the new SSO configurations in Entra.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SSO technologies and cybersecurity trends
 
Technical Knowledge:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or work-related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing Directory Services environments in enterprise-level organizations.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages, particularly PowerShell\Python, for automating Active Directory tasks and processes. Ansible a plus.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including SSO, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience with directory services integration, including LDAP, Azure AD, and third-party identity providers.
  • Solid grasp of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
