Summary: 

Asure is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Benefit Sales to lead and grow our Employee Benefits Sales team. The Benefits Sales team is responsible for promoting and executing on the sale of new and renewal business, providing and being a source of insurance expertise to customers and assisting in the growth and profitability of the department. This strategic role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and leading a high-performing team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of employee benefits products, a proven track record in sales leadership, and the ability to drive revenue growth in a competitive marketplace.

 

How you will contribute

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall sales strategy for the employee benefits sales team to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and channel relationships, to expand market presence.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Product Expertise: Stay up-to-date on employee benefits and insurance industry trends, regulations, and product offerings to effectively position solutions that meet client needs.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to monitor performance against objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the broader sales organization, marketing, product development, and operations teams to align efforts and deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits and sales practices. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in employee benefits sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of group health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee benefits solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales software.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Leadership and team development.
  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills.

 

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $110,000-$120,000 depending upon level of experience plus an uncapped commission plan.
