Automation QA Engineer (ZR_20713_JOB)

This is a remote position.

• Contract type: Independent Contractor
  
• Monday to Friday
  
• 9:00am to 6:00pm AEST (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Manila Time)
  

• Understand and reinforce the business value of the requirements of the company and project core goals of the products and services we offer;
  
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
  
• Create both API and UI automated test scripts;
  
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs;
  
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
  
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet the company's objectives;
  
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements;
  
• Monitor debugging process results;
  
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions;
  
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  

Requirements

• 4 years or more of full-time experience working as a QA or Test Engineer;
  
• Solid experience in Web or API automation testing - any programming language - and manual Web testing;
  
• Bonus points if you have experience in testing REST APIs;
  
• Must have good Web automation knowledge/experience using Selenium WebDriver:
      - or experience in general automation using any programming language;
      - bonus points if you have coding experience with Python, JavaScript or PHP;
• Must have a decent understanding of HTTP protocol and client-server architecture;
  
• General solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  
• Great requirement analysis and gap analysis skills;
  
• It is nice to have basic knowledge of SQL, Bash, Git and GitLab;
  
• Interest in working in a dynamic and “tech-first mindset” environment;
  
• Excellent communication skills;
  
• Experience in exploratory testing is welcome;
  
• Comfortable with agile development such as Scrum or Kanban;
  
• Interest in learning or deepening technical/automation skills.
