OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross® is currently seeking an independent contractor to process documents for our Claims Services department. Contractors are responsible for entering and adjudicating member claims while adhering to contract provisions for turnaround and accuracy. This opportunity will appeal to individuals who are interested in owning and managing their own business enterprise to provide claims adjudication services to Alberta Blue Cross.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • This position is a full-time commitment; a minimum of 450 documents must be processed per week with an accuracy level no lower than 98%.

  • You will be expected to work 47 weeks per year.

  • 6 months of full-time virtual training will be required.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Must have strong attention to detail and deliver high accuracy in work.

  • Proven ability to multitask efficiently under tight deadlines and heavy workloads.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Experience with insurance and benefit claims would be considered an asset.

  • Ability to supply your own equipment and supplies.

This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.
