Responsibilities:

Responsibilities 

The Financial Director at GrandManors Accounting is responsible for overseeing Financial Managers in the discharge of their duties. This includes but is not limited to general ledger maintenance, audit adjusting entries, cash management, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, customized reports, and financial management consultation services for GrandManors’ clients. This position will interface with GrandManors Financial Managers, General Managers, Directors of Association Management, Regional Vice Presidents of Onsite Management, client Boards of Directors and third-party service providers. This is a "hands-on" position from an accounting perspective. The Financial Director will report directly to the Vice President of Accounting, GrandManors.

 

 

The Financial Director's duties:

  • Review monthly and yearly client financial reports generated by GrandManors Financial Managers
  • Oversee client contractual service deliverables including the timely approval of invoice workflows, production of monthly financial reports and review of annual budgets
  • Creating and maintaining a partnership with clients’ boards of directors
  • Managing the daily flow of financial service inquiries and requests in CiraMail, Internal Tasks, and Project Tasks
  • Client billing for services performed outside the service level agreement
  • Troubleshooting and resolving escalated accounting issues
  • Liaison with Shared Services departments providing accounts payable, accounts receivable, property conveyances, community banking, collections, audit & tax, insurance, corporate accounting, Information Technology and transition services in the delivery of overall financial management services
  • Process improvement recommendations and implementation
  • Becoming a “subject matter expert” on the technology platform with respect to the delivery of accounting and financial management services
  • Be flexible to the needs of our GrandManors clients
  • Plus other work related tasks as needed

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college / university
  • Willing to learn new software and various state legislation that applies to common interest realty associations
  • Teamwork Perspective
  • The desire to have fun in the workplace while meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Experience working remote (from home) is a plus

Desired:

  • Real estate, property management and/or outsourced accounting / bookkeeping industry experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with a mid to upper-tier accounting software package
  • Exceptional computer skills (power user)
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • Excellent grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, challenging, high change/growth environment
  • Advanced Excel Skills – more than just pivot tables and xlookup

  

Pay: $100,000K to $110,000K depending on education and experience
