Telenor Connexion – Regional Sales Manager

Our U.S. based IoT sales team is now looking for a new colleague to join the team.

As a Regional Sales Manager your responsibility will be to identify new IoT business opportunities, build and manage your pipeline and close new business. You will execute on company and regional strategies to achieve growth within the IoT business in the Americas. As a team we focus on large global IoT deployments which often require bespoke commercial and technical offerings. This is a very exciting role in a growing industry in a fantastic company where IoT is on top of the agenda. 

This position reports to the Head of Region Americas and will be home based in the U.S.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities. You will be expected to develop and manage your individual sales pipeline and close induvial business quota to make a large contribution towards regional sales targets.

You will also:

  • Prepare, execute, and follow up on customer meetings on a regular basis to explore new opportunities and promote the right solution to meet bespoke customer requirements
  • Construct price proposals, present value propositions and manage contract negotiation on CXO level
  • Manage end to end sales process from lead generation and prospect stages to contract closing and support during solution implementation
  • Manage CRM and other supporting systems and reporting
  • Represent Telenor Connexion in various events and exhibitions
  • Work together with Technical Solutions Managers, pricing managers and other internal support functions to achieve your sales targets and contribute to strategic targets
  • Maintain training and up to date general understanding of Telenor IoT offerings, products, and services, as well as the IoT/Telecom market trends and the competitive landscape

Required Experience and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, we think you have:      

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience within the telecommunication & IoT
  • Technical understanding in IoT connectivity is desired, as well as knowledge in verticals such as Asset Management, Automotive, Transportation & Logistics
  • A proven track record of closing new business using a solution-based sales approach
  • A demonstrated ability to translate a technical value proposition into business value
  • Excellent communications skills, comfortable to hold presentations at CXO level with customers
  • Fluency in English is required, Spanish or Portuguese Is meritorious
  • Located and authorized to work in U.S.
