Job description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role 

We are seeking a dedicated, full-time, Associate Director of Nursing to join our team. If you are passionate about providing your patients with exemplary care, while being sensitive to their individual psychiatric conditions, you would be a great fit for our team. 

Who You Are:

  • Partnered with the Director of Nursing, assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services at the facility 
  • Manage the various activities of this department and to ensure that proper and timely healthcare is provided to our patients
  • Maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation
  • Oversee personnel selection, supervision practices, and ongoing training and evaluation for the nursing department
  • Conduct staff nurse evaluations and training regarding clinical practices, EMR use, and Compass Health Center protocols
  • Collaborate with staff nurses and treatment team to develop, support and coordinate services that ensure delivery of holistic and individualized quality care to Compass Health Center patients
  • Promote customer service and hospitality and responds to and adequately resolves complaints or concerns from patients and their families about nursing services
  • Assure staff is trained in fire and disaster and other emergency procedures, and evaluates performance during drills
  • Exercise overall related administrative functions and clinical responsibilities within the scope of nursing
  • Aptitude to gain working knowledge and expertise of staff nurse duties and responsibilities Perform other duties as requested

What You'll Do: 

  • Hold a BSN degree
  • Are a Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Illinois
  • Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR
  • 5+ years of progressive nursing experience, ideally with 1+ years of management experience
  • Mental health experience (preferred)
  • High degree of leadership, excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational ability, and time management.
  • Possess excellent therapeutic communication skill

Compensation
$78,000$88,500 USD
