                                                                                 Girl Guides of Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Stakeholder Relations and Waitlist Specialist

                                                                                            *Remote work arrangement. Contract – 18-month maternity leave replacement) 

 

About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Waitlists Team Lead, you will be a part of the Registration & Stakeholder Relations Team. You will play a key role in driving local action to address unmet demand for Girl Guides programming. You will use data and conversations with key stakeholders to identify the highest priorities. You will confidently navigate complex relationship-building that supports culture change work to engage volunteers in growth conversations. You will use your expertise to recommend improvements to internal processes and ways of working to better support our volunteers and meet our strategic objectives.

 

In this role you will:

  • Develop insights on the most strategic areas of focus for waitlist actions to inform cross-team collaboration and staff and volunteer alignment.
  • Using data-driven insights, develop strategic communications, including far-reaching messages as well as tailored reports and presentations, to inform staff and volunteer teams and persuade them to act.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to small and large groups of volunteers to build understanding and support for waitlist actions.
  • Facilitate local problem-solving conversations with volunteers about barriers to action as well as possible solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers to ensure they are adequately engaged and supported to address waitlists in their role, including coordination of experimental approaches to waitlist actions.
  • Track results and evaluate efforts to support process development and recommendations for improvements.
  • Regularly review membership and waitlist reports and make recommendations for improving data requirements to support ongoing projects; provide support for data analysis, when required.
  • Apply organizational policies regarding inclusivity to content, member communication and customer service.

 

Administration:

  • Contribute to the development of the Registration and Stakeholder Relations department budget and monitor project expenses, as required
  • Actively contribute to the short, medium, and long-term planning of the Registration and Stakeholder Relations department and GGC’s strategic plan implementation

 

You are an ideal candidate if you have: 

  • Experience deriving strategic insights from a variety of data sources, including membership data, survey results, conversations with key stakeholders
  • Experience with developing, implementing and evaluating data-driven strategies
  • Experience in nurturing and developing complex stakeholder relationships 
  • Skill with influencing stakeholders to adopt recommendations to better align with strategic objectives
  • Comfort with experimentation, including learning from and documenting failures
  • Experience building new processes in collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Exceptional at creating reports and PowerPoint presentations to share data in a clear and compelling manner
  • Strong copy-writing skills with a specific focus on persuasive writing 
  • Proficiency in the Office 365 suite including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.

Starting Annual Salary: $55,231

*Salary based on location, Greater Toronto Area
