About the Role:

The Business Technology Strategy & Operations (BTSO) team at Confluent plays a central role in leading the strategic planning and execution for the Business Technology organization. We are responsible for overseeing and streamlining a wide range of technology initiatives and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall success.

The Business Technology Strategy & Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes in technology operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in program management, process improvement, and architecture governance.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and drive process improvement initiatives across various internal processes, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and delivery outcomes.
• Manage the Architecture Review Board, ensuring all technical projects comply with enterprise architecture standards and systems governance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain program governance frameworks to ensure consistent and predictable project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Business Systems, Application Engineering, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and achieve business goals.
• Facilitate change management processes, promoting the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within the organization.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, ensuring the successful completion of programs.
• Monitor and report on program performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in program management, preferably within an enterprise technology organization.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and managing architecture review boards.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in designing and implementing IT processes
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and project management frameworks (PMP, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus).
• Proficient in using project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• PMP certification preferred

We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $153,600 - $180,450 and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
