We are currently searching for a Remote Azure Database Administrator:

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement database instances for development and production environments in Azure Cloud.
Migrate application data from on-premises databases to cloud databases.
Monitor and maintain database security and database software.
Utilize Database Migration Services (DMS) tools to migrate data from on-premises to the cloud.
Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for production and development environments.
Provide on-call support for production databases.
Collaborate with Azure development teams to test, validate, and implement performance and resource optimization improvements.
Conduct database and application performance tuning.
Manage backup and recovery processes using Azure and traditional backup solutions.
Perform root cause analysis for production-related database issues.

Requirements:

7+ years of database administration experience across Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
3+ years of experience managing Azure RDS.
3+ years of experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery, scalability, and capacity planning.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting.
3 years of IT troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.

Languages:

Advanced oral English.
Native Spanish.
