Job description

The Permitting Coordinator organizes, implements, and pursues the planning and permitting process for new and change-out Watermill Express construction projects. Key responsibilities include working with third parties including architects, engineers, and local jurisdictions, ensuring construction project plans are drafted and submitted for permit review, and following up to ensure that permits are obtained in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for overseeing 40 or more projects at any given time in a work from home office environment, requiring the candidate to be extremely organized and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Essential Functions:
  • Work closely with the Permitting Manager to ensure that all development and construction goals are met.
  • Coordinate drafting of plans with third party professionals such as architects and engineers.
  • Ensure timely submission and completion of plans, permits, and applications.
  • Perform follow-up to ensure timeliness of response from professionals and jurisdictions.
  • Tracking and monitoring the status of all Development projects.
  • Demonstrate prompt, diligent, and efficient response and resolutions to issues as they occur.
  • Regular and predictable attendance for required schedule.
  • Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner
  • All other duties assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Demonstrate and provide leadership in support of the company’s Pledge of Conduct.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Permitting experience required.
