Job Overview:
As a Partner Business Manager for HPE Financial Services, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our partners, developing and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships aligned with HPE’s business priorities. Your primary responsibility will be to drive end-to-end revenue, profitability, and pipeline growth through strategic joint business plans and data-driven sales initiatives. You will play a crucial role in articulating HPE’s global and local business strategies, effectively collaborating with partners to "sell with," "sell to," and "sell through" them. This approach creates a scalable and sustainable selling ecosystem that drives long-term success for both HPE and its partners. This is a US based, teleworker position, with 50% travel. Territory is the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the expert to the partner for complex product, service, and software transitions, promotions, and configurations, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Promote HPE offerings as a key component of the partner's business solutions, potentially leading efforts to sell HPE's brand to end-customers.
  • Develop and maintain account plans to drive sales growth, ensuring the achievement of assigned quotas for products, services, and software.
  • Engage in transactional and relationship-based selling, effectively collaborating with a team of sales professionals.
  • Physically visit partner customers to strengthen relationships and drive sales opportunities.
  • Manage the sales funnel for deals with partners, converting potential leads into joint sales activities.
  • Leverage internal resources and senior executives to build strategic relationships with partners, ensuring long-term business opportunities.
  • Provide the business rationale and risk assessments when making investment decisions in partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and SBC practices within partner relationships.
  • Participate in recruiting and developing business relationships with new partners.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 8-12 years of experience in sales, either at the end-user or partner level.
  • Proven experience selling to partners in a complex, competitive environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the IT industry, including competing vendors, and channel dynamics.
  • Strong knowledge of HPE’s organizational structure, business rules, key programs, and alignment with the company’s go-to-market strategies.
  • Expertise in HPE’s products, services, and software, with the ability to effectively communicate their advantages over competitors.
  • Experience building strategic relationships with partner decision-makers to promote and align partner business processes with HPE’s offerings.
  • Ability to create and execute strategic plans with partners to grow business and HPE’s market share.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to coordinate efforts across sales teams and business groups to achieve success.
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills to drive partner sales performance.
  • Thorough understanding of pipeline management and the ability to communicate its benefits to partners and sales teams.
