This position is responsible for ensuring all Revvity’s locations in United Kingdom have an effective trade compliance program that meets all local and applicable governmental rules and regulations.
The focus areas are export controls, import compliance, customs compliance operations managing UK based broker / freight forwarders.
This position will also be responsible to support ITC Advocates in the UK, providing them with technical support and guidance. The success of this position relies on working cross-functionally with logistics/procurement, accounting, legal, as well as product suppliers, 3PL and customs brokerage service providers. This position will ensure compliance with all UK Customs Territory regulations and compliance activities.
Primary job responsibilities:
Trade regulations expertise; practical experience interpreting regulations and developing internal controls to comply with them. Keeping current with UK regulations to understand if they may impact Revvity´s Trade Compliance program.
Familiar with the written procedures and internal controls needed to support and comply with UK and foreign trade compliance regulations.
Experience developing, implement and maintaining import and export compliance processes and procedures. Capable of disseminating internally and externally and training on those procedures.
Training & awareness of trade compliance regulations throughout the organization.
Escalation point for troubleshooting Trade compliance issues within all UK businesses.
Key point of contact and support for government audit or inquiries related to Revvity locations in United Kingdom.
Risk management and monitoring the maturity of the Trade Compliance Programs.
Export Compliance:
Familiarity with Sanctions Regulations: knowledge of sanctions regulations, and ability to follow and support Revvity’s policy regarding sales to these countries.
Capable of performing Sanctioned Party List Screening and Red Flag reviews.
Assignment or Audit of Export Control Classifications to Revvity products.
Export licensing: experience and knowledge determining license requirements for dual-use products and end-use /end-user restrictions and applying for authorization when required.
First point of contact for all Revvity locations in UK for export compliance questions.
Import Compliance & Customs Compliance Operations:
Maintain Import and Export Management system using Corporate procedures as the foundation of their system. Identify local regulations that require work instructions that need to be developed or integrated into the Corporate procedures.
Ensure internal controls are in place to support import /export formalities and customs clearance processes.
Responsible to ensure products are properly import and export classified as it relates to the UK.
Clear understanding of the methods of customs valuation and applicability to our shipments.
Free Trade Agreement assessment, approvals, and training.
Responsible for government audits, disclosures or corrective actions that may be needed based on the results of the audit
Stay current on regulatory proposals and changes and implement and train on new controls to support them.
Provide root cause analysis and lead corrective actions for issues related to delayed or incorrect customs entries or export declarations.
Perform and oversee transactional audits and implement corrective actions with the brokers and FF’s.
First point of contact for all Revvity locations in UK for customs compliance questions.

Other responsibilities:
Support End of Quarter activities to support revenue recognition
Represent UK topics during monthly and annual global trade compliance meetings
Ad-hoc projects or continuous improvement efforts
Develop training material as required.

Education/Experience:
Experience in a similar role.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
SAP and SAP GTS experience is a plus.
