Your primary mission is to empower developers by ensuring they have the right tools, resources, and support to successfully build applications in the IOTA ecosystem.

You will design and execute an optimized developer journey, particularly for newcomers to the Move ecosystem, and foster a thriving builder community. In this role, you will spearhead educational initiatives, manage developer-facing events such as hackathons, and collaborate with internal teams and third-party organizations to deliver an exceptional developer experience.

Additionally, as a key member of the R&D department, you will work closely with fellow team leads to maintain and enhance the documentation portal, ensuring accessibility and clarity for developers.

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Lead and mentor the developer experience team, ensuring efficient execution of builder enablement initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality educational content, including guides, tutorials, walkthroughs, and interactive learning experiences.

  • Craft and refine the developer onboarding process, with a strong focus on easing entry into the Move ecosystem.

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to scale our developer ecosystem.

  • Act as a direct point of contact for developers, providing technical support and community engagement to foster adoption.

  • Gather developer feedback and advocate for improvements in tooling, infrastructure, and overall developer experience.

  • Plan and execute hackathons, workshops, and other developer events, collaborating with third parties and ecosystem partners.

  • Oversee and enhance the documentation portal, working closely with the R&D team to ensure up-to-date, clear, and accessible resources.

  • Develop partnerships with key industry stakeholders to expand the reach and adoption of IOTA’s technology.

  • Analyze developer engagement metrics to measure the impact of enablement initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Represent IOTA at industry conferences, meetups, and community events, building strong relationships within the developer ecosystem.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong background in developer education with experience creating and maintaining guides, tutorials, and onboarding resources.

  • Extensive experience managing development platforms, with a particular focus on smart contracts and decentralized applications.

  • A solid understanding of smart contract development.

  • Strong technical background, ideally with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Solidity or Move.

  • Experience in community engagement and developer relations, including onboarding, advocacy, and support.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Willingness to travel for conferences, meetups, and hackathons to engage directly with the builder community.

Nice-to-have
  • Prior experience working within the Move ecosystem.

  • Background in developer relations, open-source advocacy, or community management in tech/blockchain industries.

  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to drive developer-focused initiatives.

What we offer
  • Fully remote position with high flexibility and autonomy.

  • Opportunities for high-impact contributions to the blockchain ecosystem.

  • A dynamic and collaborative team focused on enabling third parties to build decentralized solutions.

  • The chance to work with cutting-edge blockchain technology.
