Job description

inriver is a global leader in Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, helping enterprise businesses optimize their product data for digital commerce success. We enable brands to deliver enhanced customer experiences, increase revenue, and streamline their go-to-market strategies. We are now hiring our new Global VP of Professional Services. 

The Vice President (VP) of Professional Services is responsible for the implementation of the inriver PIM solution, including the end-to-end delivery implementations primed by inriver, implementations primed by our SI partners, as well as hybrid models. The scope of the implementations includes all products and subsystems in inriver’s portfolio including the core PIM, syndication, Digital Shelf Analytics and others.

The VP is the leader of the Professional Services organization that is responsible for design, architecture and implementation of customers projects, as well as the ongoing service delivery of our solutions. The role includes managing the P&L and achieving the margin and utilization targets while delivering projects with high quality, on time and on budget. The role is a customer and partner facing role and is a leader role that represents inriver’s commitment to the success of our customers in collaboration with our partner ecosystem.

The position is part of the senior leadership team at inriver and reports to the SVP of Customer. This role will be based in Boston, US. 

Key Responsibilities:
High quality, on time and on budget delivery of projects to get customers live, delivery of ongoing projects that help customers accelerate their growth across a variety of digital and physical channels. Own the P&L for the Services organization and achieve quarterly and annual targets.

             Leadership and Team Management:

  • Build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Identify and nurture talent within the organization, providing mentorship and training.
  • Efficiently allocate resources to projects based on skills and requirements.

    Client Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Monitor client satisfaction through feedback mechanisms and implement improvements.

    Partner Relationships
  • Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with partners.
  • Collaborate with partners on projects to ensure on-time and on-budget go-lives and ongoing projects while delivering with the highest quality standards.

    Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and enter new markets.

    Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee project management processes to ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
  • Continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with service delivery.

    Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the P&L for professional services.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, contributing to revenue growth driven by the growth of our customers.

    Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

    Communication and Collaboration:
  • Facilitate effective communication between different departments.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a unified approach to client engagement and service delivery.


    Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years experience in leading role in professional services
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in engineering or a related field 
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end service delivery, including P&L ownership and achieving revenue targets 
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and revenue forecasting
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Understanding of SaaS/Cloud solutions and technology desired. If you have experience from PIM that would be amazing
  • Global or multi-region management experience 
  • Native or High proficiency in Business English


For the this role the salary range is 230-260K per year. The salary is determined by individuals background and experience. All full time US employees are eligible to participate in inriver's comprehensive benefit package which include medical, dental, vision, 401K, STD, LTD.
