Job Description:  

  • Reporting to the Chargemaster Manager, the analyst position is responsible for charge capture (revenue integrity) efforts that ensure clinical departments are charging accurately and in a timely manner.  
  • The analyst will develop relevant charging education and perform periodic charging audits for assigned service lines to confirm charging compliance.  
  • They will collaborate with other Revenue Cycle departments to evaluate trends in charging errors and denials and develop solutions to prevent these issues.  
  • The analyst will stay up to date on regulatory changes and communicate changes to key stakeholders.  
  • Remote work opportunity. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Finance, Health Administration or other related discipline.  
  • Requires 4 years of healthcare experience working in Chargemaster (CDM), charge capture, billing or coding. Ability to analyze data, including medical records and Epic reports, to determine if charge changes or department education is needed.  
  • Willing to be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced work environment that requires excellent time management and organizational skills.  
  • Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.  
  • Certifications may include CPC, COC, CCS, CRIP, CHRI or other applicable certifications preferred. Chargemaster or Charge Capture experience preferred.  
  • Experience with ambulatory service lines preferred  
  • General knowledge in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Revenue Codes, UB-04, 1500, and ICD-10-CM highly preferred.
