The
Financial Specialist is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with Medi-Cal and Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH) Community Supports billing guidelines. This position plays a key role in managing financial assistance for housing-related services, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and ensuring timely reimbursements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Processing & Documentation
Review and process financial transactions related to housing assistance, including security deposits, rental payments, and utility arrears.
Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Assist in preparing and submitting invoices to CCAH and other funding entities.
Billing and Reimbursement Management
Ensure proper documentation is submitted with financial claims to avoid reimbursement delays.
Track and reconcile housing assistance payments.
Assist in resolving discrepancies in invoices or payments.
Compliance & Reporting
Maintain compliance withMedi-Cal,CCAH, and Mystis Adult and Family Services financial policies.
Participate in financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance with reimbursement policies.
Generate financial reports for housing assistance expenditures.
Client & Vendor Relations
Communicate with landlords, utility providers, and vendors regarding financial assistance payments.
Work closely with case managers to verify client eligibility for financial aid.
Ensure vendors receive timely payments and resolve any billing disputes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum2 years of experience in financial processing, accounting, or billing.
Experience inhealthcare finance, Medi-Cal, or housing-related funding preferred.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
