Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Pacific with an hour unpaid break
  • Focus on closing 2024 books initially, then ongoing transactions
  • Manage financial operations across multiple business locations (Las Vegas and Honolulu)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and healthcare industry standards

  • Oversee bookkeepers’ work and ensure accuracy
  • Ensure proper classification of financial transactions
  • Handle financial liabilities
  • Collaborate with CPAs for tax filings
  • Prepare comprehensive financial information for company use
  • Lead the process of closing 2024 books
Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounting, preferably in healthcare or transportation sectors
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance in financial contexts
