Must have Skills.

  • Database: MySQL (top priority), followed by DynamoDB
  • Key Skills: Unit testing, code review, and experience with design documentation
  • Cloud: AWS, Kubernetes, with expertise in backup management and performance optimization
  • Scripting/Programming Languages: Python, Bash, or Golang

Job Description:
This role will contribute to
● Reliability, Availability and Security of the critical database infrastructure at client
(MySQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch and Redis)
● Observing, identifying and correcting performance and scale bottlenecks of these
databases.
● Automating/Codifying repetitive operations and providing self service tools
● De-risking data availability using highly consistent data backup/restore methods.
What qualities are we looking for?
● Familiarity with software engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, and
design documentation.
● An interest in building internal products with other engineers as your customers.
● Experience with AWS and Kubernetes. ·
● Track record of building self-service and high-quality platforms for developers with a
customer-driven mindset. ·
● Curiosity about how things work and love to share that knowledge with others.
● 1-3 years of professional experience in a software environment·
● B Tech/M Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
What you should have?
● Hands-on experience with datastores like MySQL, PostgreSQL on AWS or similar
infrastructure platforms
● Hands on experience on Amazon DynamoDB and DAX will be a plus & preferable
● Hands-on with Datastore management principles and practices (Availability, Backup
management, performance management, security, proactive monitoring, encryption etc)
● Experience in building and operating large distributed datastore infra.
● Understanding of operating systems, virtualization, containerization is a plus
● Hands-on coding on any of the languages like Bash, Python or GoLang is a plus
● Familiarity with software engineering practices like unit testing, code reviews, and design
documentation.
● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
