Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 6:00PM (Mountain Time - Calgary, Alberta) with an hour unpaid lunch break (40 hours per week)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team. The person will be responsible for processing invoices, handling accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and
experience in billing or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Review billing data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process payments and update customer accounts.
  • Track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to ensure accurate billing.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
  • Stay updated on company billing policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Billing Manager, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of billing and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in billing software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
