The Opportunity

SMEVentures is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Sourcing Lead to play a critical role in enhancing our lead generation of promising acquisition opportunities. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable systems to expand our reach with business owners. The Sourcing Lead will contribute directly to the success of our sourcing initiatives and the overall growth of SMEVentures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scalable lead generation processes, including lead scoring, data management, and CRM optimization.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key intermediaries and strategic partners to generate high-quality leads.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SDRs focused on generating new business owner leads.
  • Track and analyze key sourcing metrics to generate reports and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and organized data on potential acquisition targets, contacts, and outreach activities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and automation teams to optimize lead generation processes.
  • Experiment with and implement innovative outreach strategies to enhance sourcing effectiveness and connect with business owners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in multi-channel lead generation and sales operations.
  • Experience with CRM systems and lead generation tools.
  • Strong understanding of lead scoring, qualification, and data analysis.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with key partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Bonus: Experience sourcing companies, leads, or investment opportunities in private equity or M&A advisory.
