Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Remote (PST Time Zone)
Salary Range: up to 2500 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (PST)

Philippines-based candidates: Can work 5:00 AM 1:00 PM PHT OR align with any U.S. time zone

Position Overview:

Were looking for a Senior Accountant to manage key financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transaction categorization, reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating with the team to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately categorize transactions and reconcile accounts.
Prepare and file sales and excise tax reports on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Identify 1099 vendors, collect W9s, and file 1099s annually.
Retrieve and organize bank statements and client files following company standards.
Support invoicing, bill pay, and custom client processes as needed.
Manage the monthly financial close process for assigned clients.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in accounting software (ideally QuickBooks Online (QBO); other platforms are acceptable)
Experience with Bill.com or other AP management platforms (preferred)
Strong understanding of sales tax, 1099 vendor requirements, and financial reconciliation.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client accounts.
Excellent communication skills in English (basic proficiency required)

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience working with U.S.-based clients or accounting firms.
Familiarity with financial reporting best practices.
Background in remote, distributed team environments.
