up to 2000 USD

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)

About the Company:

Sagan represents a growing financial services company looking to add an Accountant Specialist to their team. They are committed to accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining strong financial operations to support their business growth.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant Specialist with experience in QuickBooks and financial reporting. This role involves managing transaction categorization, reconciliations, payroll entries, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Categorize transactions within QuickBooks to correct GL accounts.
  • Perform month-end bank reconciliations.
  • Approve and classify credit card transactions in Divvy.
  • Prepare and enter payroll journal entries.
  • Perform AR and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Update expense accrual worksheets and enter journal entries into QuickBooks.
  • Maintain fixed asset listings and prepare depreciation/amortization entries.
  • Prepare and enter monthly allocation entries.
  • Manage accounts payable, including tracking invoices, preparing cash disbursements, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
  • Assist in month-end review processes and ad hoc financial tasks.
  • Update weekly financial scorecard.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requests.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Experience in US GAAP/IFRS (preferred not required)


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • CPA certification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in financial operations within a growing company
