Job description

Can you help to lift DLL to the next level of Data Management, by improving and implementing Data Governance practices? Are you able to leverage Data Management technologies to put data governance into practice?

Fulfil the role as Global Data Governance Consultant in DLL’s new Data Management organization. Co-transform the Data Management Department, by implementing the Data Strategy. Your focus will be on providing hands-on data governance support to stakeholders throughout the organization. You will use and improve the data governance tooling.

You can expect a data management team of approximately 50 enthusiastic people (Data Management and BI IT Delivery) working on multiple projects to realize the Data Strategy for DLL.

This vacancy is in the Global Data Governance team, which oversees the required data management activities at the Data Producers (mainly in our countries) and at Data Consumers (mainly at corporate center). As a Global Data Governance Consultant, you will support, guide, and inspire DLL’s Data Governance community to treat our data as a valuable asset. You will also facilitate them with Data Governance solutions to ensure proper and consistent embedding in the organization. This comes along with creating and maintaining a policy & procedures framework. You will be closely working with a.o. the teams that are responsible for DLL’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Global Reporting, and the (Curated) Data Lake.

Day To Day

  • Support our stakeholders with practical data governance activities, a.o. regarding defining our data, monitoring data quality, maintaining and using reference data.
  • Support stakeholders with implementing and using the respective data management tooling.
  • Support our members with having procedures and manuals in place related to the data governance tooling and activities.
  • Create Data Governance reports, e.g. to monitor data quality KPIs.
  • Share your knowledge and experiences in the organization, a.o. through our Data Ambassadors network.
  • Support the maintenance and embedment of Global Data Governance visions and policy framework..
  • Define deliverables and celebrate achievements.

You have

  • Completed a relevant master’s degree, including eagerness to grow and to pursue relevant certifications and training to stay updated with industry standards.

You may have

  • Relevant experience with one or more data governance tools (for Reference Data, Data Catalog, Glossary, Data Quality, Data Lineage, Master Data Management).
  • 1-2 years professional experience, ideally in a comparable environment (international organization with a complex IT landscape).
