ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

TKWW is looking for an entry-level design role as Production Designer to contribute to our online wedding stationery collection. Our Production Designer will aid in building out Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign print files from provided templates. This role entails some print design work, involving taking an existing wedding invitation style and applying those design elements to additional wedding products such as programs, labels, postcards, signage, party merchandise and much more, along with production of colorways which will entail color changes and management of files with up to hundreds of links. We are looking for an individual who is extremely detail oriented, thrives in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, and has a strong design eye with established graphic design talent including but not limited to typography and layout skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for maintaining a highly organized workflow and file management via existing processes, checklists & provided naming convention resources
  • Responsible for maintaining a dialogue with the team about workflow, expectations & progress, communicating early and often
  • Participate in collaborative discussions and share your work in group feedback meetings daily with camera on to show engagement
  • Responsible for building out all design production files needed using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign within given deadlines
  • Responsible for designing matching products in the branded style of an existing invitation suite and other kinds of merchandising products as needed, and the production associated with those designs, adhering to several checklists to ensure nothing is missed
  • Responsible for colorway output, adjusting colors of individual art links using Photoshop and relinking files to create multiple colorways for multiple products per suite
  • Responsible for communicating with our Production team using existing systems and ensuring that all Design files passed off are flawless
  • Contributing as needed to any additional team projects that support the greater business, including but not limited to presentation decks, marketing collateral and more

SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION DESIGNER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • At least 2 years experience as a graphic designer
  • Print design experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop & InDesign with experience in graphic design for print materials
  • Excellent typography skills & graphic design experience - experience with stationery is a huge plus
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail, considers themselves a perfectionist
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Design Degree or equivalent portfolio
  • Branding experience is a plus
  • Illustration skills are a plus
  • Jira experience is a plus
