This is a remote position.
Scope:
Minimum 20 hours per week (exact hours to be determined most probably anywhere between 8 AM to 5 PM AU time)
Remote work with regular reporting, potentially every two weeks
Collaborate directly with the business owner and interface with other team members as needed
Potential for increased hours or expanded role as the business continues to grow
Responsibilities:
Organize and analyze financial data including cash flow, wages, and office expenses
Create professional Excel reports and P&L statements
Manage payroll services for a team of 5-6 staff members
Monitor and integrate Shopify payouts into financial reports
Translate complex financial information into easily understandable terms for non-finance professionals
Provide regular financial updates and consulting to the business owner
Recommend and implement financial management tools and processes as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial consulting, preferably in e-commerce or retail
Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple, clear terms
Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms is a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred
