Job description

This is a remote position.

The Client is looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and manage Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within our organization. As an RTE, you will be responsible for coaching Agile teams, facilitating PI Planning, and ensuring alignment between business and technology teams to deliver high-value solutions efficiently.

Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or in a similar Agile leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience facilitating PI Planning and Agile ceremonies.
  • Experience working with JIRA, Rally, or other Agile tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) Execution: Manage and optimize the flow of work, drive collaboration, and ensure alignment across teams.
    • Lead PI Planning: Organize and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring teams align on goals, dependencies, and deliverables.
    • Coach Agile Teams: Provide guidance and mentorship on Agile best practices, SAFe principles, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify, track, and resolve program risks, impediments, and dependencies across teams.
    • Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of relentless improvement through Inspect & Adapt workshops and other Agile ceremonies.
    • Ensure Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Business Owners, and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency and shared understanding.
    • Monitor and Report Progress: Utilize key Agile metrics to measure ART performance and communicate status updates to leadership.
