Job Title: Trade Finance Operations Operator

Overview
As an operator of Trade Finance Operations, you will be part of Corporate Bank Operations, Americas Branch and will partner with several other areas in Brazil. You will be part of an operational team responsible for the trade finance products. You have expertise or understanding of operational processes, products and/or the business, and play a key role in facilitating communication between functional teams, sharing knowledge and good practice.

What You’ll Do
- Registers of transactions into legacy system
- Verify incoming transaction (Swift/deal ticket/customer order/Document Presentation): Consistency check of terms and conditions, CRM approval, if applicable
- Check if advising/confirming/collecting/counterpart bank is a global adopted FI customer
- Register transactions into legacy systems according to the deal ticket booked by business
- Perform relevant sanctions and embargos filtering
- Escalate any hit to Product Team on Brazil for further handling
- Execute end of day activities: reconcile internal account and send email to business team informing transactions disbursed during the day
- Act on breaks/discrepancies raised by Reconciliation in regards to daily Nostro, Depot, Accounting reconciliation reports with Finance support
Skills You’ll Need
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Proven experience in any trade finance product operations (bank guarantee, letter of credit, doc collection), where dealing with letter of credit negotiation and commission calculation and billing would be considered a very appreciated plus.
- Excellent English language proficiency (written/verbal)
- Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel

- The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst provides operational expertise and independent governance to achieve timely, accurate and complete transaction management for the bank and, where relevant, the bank’s clients.
- The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst's responsibilities include technical, transactional and logistical input into the leadership team to ensure the bank operates with the right balance of quality, flexibility, control and cost. This is achieved through collaboration across businesses and divisions in an environment which maximizes control and minimizes operational risk, whilst maintaining exceptional client or internal customer/stakeholder (as appropriate) service levels.
- The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst strives to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal partners and/or external clients (as appropriate) and within the wider market in order to improve market practices and platforms.
- The Trade and/or Transaction Analyst builds and manages partnerships between internal businesses to ensure that the bank’s business objectives are delivered, comply with operational control, external regulation and continue to improve the bank’s technology platforms, as appropriate. Where relevant, they focus on new business initiatives and working as a team to ensure full front-to-back operational readiness for products ranging from high-volume vanilla trading through to highly-complex structured transactions.
Regulatory change and an ever-evolving business environment mean that the Trade and/or Transaction Analyst must continually provide input and creative innovative solutions to deliver efficiencies, and protect the bank and its shareholders.
