Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Data Engineering and Analytics to lead our data initiatives and drive data and AI transformation across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend software engineering, data engineering, and analytics, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable cloud-based data architectures and data driven solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can guide cross-functional teams to success by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful, data-driven business value.

Work with client business leaders to understand business strategy and objectives, collaboratively envision data, analytics, AI solutions, and define business value
Translate objectives and solutions into requirements for technical teams
Lead the development of data pipelines, automating data collection, transformation, reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics for business and engineering decisions and agents
Lead the integration of core business data (e.g., SAP S4, Salesforce) into AWS-based services for data lakes, downstream transformation, presentation and consumption
Uncover business value through advanced data solutions and provide technical solution architectures
Build and advise a cross-functional data governance and analytics Center of Excellence and advise on data governance practices to enhance data management.
Oversee squads of data delivery teams including data architects, data engineers, DataOps engineers, visual designers, machine learning engineers etc. to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Ability to spearhead AI-driven projects to augment and improve customer, product, and operating capabilities

Experience:

10+ years of experience in backend software engineering, data engineering, and analytics.
Proven ability to design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-based data architectures.
Experience in driving digital transformation initiatives across industries such as energy, utilities, and industrials.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in AWS and SAP and other cloud provider data tools.
Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.

Technical Skills:

Languages: Python, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript
AWS: S3, EC2, Glue, Lambdas, Sagemaker, and
Other cloud platforms a strong plus - Azure and GCP

Education:

Bachelor of Art/Sciences in Information Technology related field
Master of Information Science degree a plus

Base Salary

$140,000—$160,000 USD
