About the Position:
SPG continues to scale our $5B+ (and rapidly growing) insurance platform and develop all of the resources, tools, best practices, policies, and procedures that would exist for an insurer of that size. A critical part of our DNA and growth opportunities is attributable to understanding market opportunities to provide insight to business leadership on where to focus their resources.
The director role will be responsible for building research reports based upon requirements set by Business and SPG leadership. The role will serve three key disciplines within SPG:
• New Capabilities & MGU Program Development
• Mergers & Acquisitions
• Digital Strategy & Implementation
The position reports to the Chief Product Officer and supports the entire SPG portfolio. The position works closely with other company resources and outside sources to build discrete research reports based on requirements set by business leaders.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The role will be responsible for building market and competitive intelligence reports based upon requirements set forth and led by the SPG business leader developing the product.
Work with each SPG business to assess their current state of collecting competitive intelligence and market share and provide market intelligence expertise, market assessments, competitive pricing, & emerging competitive threats and trends.
Develop requirements standards and process for report building and prioritization
Utilize both internal and external publicly available data to create canned and custom displayed dashboards and related analytics for SPG brands and platform wide for corporate leadership.
Develop relationships with 3rd party data and aggregation sources to enrich our internal data and work with internal marketing on any external facing collateral.
Serve as point of contact for each business for their research needs in areas of product development, M&A & Digital Strategy.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5-7 years of related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI
Desired Qualifications:
Wholesale and MGA insurance experience, particularly with highly acquisitive M&A Integration activity.
Consulting experience with client-facing responsibilities.
Experience in delivering research reports with clear objectives from multiple sources
Project Management experience
Familiarity with marketing research tools specific to the insurance industry
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
