An esteemed law firm is seeking an Employment Attorney in California with a strong background in school district defense. In this role, you ll manage a caseload of 15-25 files, conduct hearings and depositions, and provide strategic defense for public education institutions. Salary Range: $230,000 - $275,000 / year DOE
Employment Attorney Responsibilities
Defend school districts in employment matters, focusing on trial preparation and litigation
Independently manage cases, including depositions, hearings, and client meetings
Review and organize case files, ensuring thorough compliance with legal standards
Provide counsel to clients on school district-specific employment law issues
Collaborate with legal assistants to ensure accurate documentation and case management
Employment Attorney Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience, with a significant focus on school district defense
Must be located in CA
Strong trial experience defending school districts in employment matters
Must be a member of the California Bar
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must be ok with being 90% remote
