About The Role
Are you a dedicated and experienced track maintenance professional seeking an opportunity to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking applicants for the role of Rerail Supervisor, reporting directly to the Track Maintenance Superintendent.
As a Rerail Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our track maintenance activities. You will be responsible for overseeing rerailing operations, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals and contribute to the ongoing success of our track maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee rerail operations in accordance with code of practice and safety guidelines.
- Lead and manage a team of track maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective execution of rerail activities.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of track conditions to identify potential hazards or issues requiring attention.
- Liaise with the Track Maintenance Superintendent to report on progress, issues, and any necessary adjustments to the rerailing schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of rerail activities
- Build a positive working culture within the team
- Ensure the team is cross skilled and can complete all track maintenance to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance to Rerail/Destress plan
- Ensure SMM is a priority within the team and look for improvement opportunities within the port folio
- Coordinate with Asset Assurance Engineers, planners and contractors to ensure adherence to the Re Rail plan
- SAP Work management processes including but not limited to. o Review and approve work scopes
- Ensuring QA/QC compliance documents are completed, signed & attached to SAP Notifications & stored in required repositories
- Time confirmations
- Raising subsequent notifications for any additional or follow up works
- Closing out of work orders
- Oversee the delivery of Re-rail workbank, ensuring all locations are completed to the required standard
- Conduct and facilitate daily prestart and coordination meetings with contractors
- Ensure effective use of allocated track obstructions
- Identify any potential issues or risks and implement effective solutions to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with RTIO standards and specifications
- Provide guidance, training and coaching to all contractor partners
- Ensure compliance with safety process and standards, Infield verifications and safety interactions, reviewing risk assessments and ensuring all risks are identified and managed with effective controls in place through LIF interactions and CCFV’s
- Site audits and inspections including all works areas, laydown areas and vehicles
- Ensuring daily obstructions are reviewed and correct providing feedback to key stakeholders to ensure they understand all requirements
- Working with planners and schedulers on all planning requirements, ensuring the required track obstructions are submitted and the limit of authorities are correct
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Track maintenance or a related field.
- - Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- - Strong knowledge of track maintenance, equipment, and safety procedures.
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- - Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- - Cert II or Cert III in Rail Infrastructure desirable
- Previous leadership and Rail Stress Management experience will be highly regarded
