UPMC Corporate Finance is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Physician Provider Compensation Analyst, Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and managing compensation plans for our dedicated physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Purpose:
As a Physician Provider Compensation Analyst, Associate, you will play a crucial role in interpreting physician employment agreements and APP department plan documents. Your expertise will support productivity incentive distributions by calculating compensation, bonuses, and quality metrics. Additionally, you will respond to provider inquiries, ensuring clarity and satisfaction. This position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Management: Calculate, audit, and submit contract terms and conditions via HR, Payroll, or Contract software methods. This includes auditing provider FMLA leaves to policy.
Data Analysis: Support the physician compensation program and strategic decisions through data collection, reporting, benchmarking, and analysis for senior management.
Provider Support: Respond directly to physician inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, exercising discretion and judgment. Send out production reports directly to providers per internal procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Central PA management teams, including the Medical Group President, SVPs, VPs, Directors, and Managers, on projects related to compensation.
Reporting: Run weekly and monthly reports utilized by the compensation team to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Bachelor's degree in related business field required.
OR High School Diploma/GED and two years related work experience.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular focus on Excel and formulas and willing to apply additional training to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Experience with contracting software, payroll/HR software, and revenue cycle management systems a plus.
Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills to produce reports to support physician/provider employment agreements incentive plans using Excel and EPIC reporting as required.
Must have good interpersonal skills required to act as liaison with operational management, physicians, legal and administration staff regarding highly confidential and sensitive compensation information.
