Jr. Complex Solutions Engineer

Role Summary

The Jr. Complex Solutions Engineer supports the coordination and direction of the troubleshooting process for connectivity issues of aero networks, working directly with providers and other teams within the company. Collaborate with a deep analysis of data and then determine the best way to represent it visually to managers and stakeholders. Provide solutions to improve the reliability of the network to guarantee and improve the SLA. Support the activation of new networks and provide standardized documentation for troubleshooting and maintenance to the NOC and Service Managers.

Employment Type: 6-month contract

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams working on data to automate processes and scale our network reliability.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment.
• Basic knowledge of satellite terminals theory, operations, and equipment including:
• RF frequency bands (L, S, C, X, Ku, Ka)
• RF transmission chain including block upconverters (BUC), amplifiers, and feeds.
• RF reception chain including feeds, LNA & LNB.
• RF distribution system.
• Antenna Control Unit operations and equipment.
• Level 2 Engineering Support providing advanced technical assistance for L1 escalations and taking accountability for further escalating the issue if needed.
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering degree or advanced student.
• Knowledge of digital network communications and RF signal theory or digital satellite network architectures and IP networking.
• 2 years of experience in networking in the communication field (preferred).
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytic skills translating project requirements into a successful design.
• Database skills, with the ability to coordinate between multiple systems.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, etc.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Strong ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required.
