The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as the Program Manager within our Motorcycle Development (MD) Strategy & Operations office. This can be a remote position with limited time “on-site” in the office.
Job Summary
The Program Manager is a key member of the Strategy & Operations team. Working with cross functional teams within the Product Development Organization, they will support the Strategy Manager to drive initiatives to ensure Product Development Excellence. This role serves as a key partner for the Strategy Manager and cross functional leaders across Motorcycle Development to remove barriers and keep teams focused on what is most critical to achieve the goals laid out by the Product Development Excellence initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Key support member for overall on-time delivery of Product Development Excellence initiatives
- Develop key insights from data and drive improvement actions
- Key support member for the resource planning, balancing, prioritization for all work within Motorcycle Development
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure resource needs for all functional teams are well-defined
- Work with the Business Analysts to ensure resource utilization is being tracked accurately
- Pro-actively escalate resource gaps to the Motorcycle Development management team and drive actions to close resource gaps
- Help enable an efficient and continuous learning product development culture by driving continuous improvement of program operations (e.g., process, tools, communications).
- Support clear alignment across product development by delivering tools & processes that provide clear and concise communication of information
- Ensure every team member has the knowledge, tools, and direction to be successful via training and support.
- Identify and fill gaps by connecting individuals with relevant experts for help
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical area preferred
- PMP certification is an added plus
Requirements
The successful candidate typically processes the following experience:
- 1-3 years of technical or process program management experience or similar
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Teams and SharePoint
- Proficiency with Power BI
- Proficiency with issue tracking and requirements management tools like JIRA, Helix ALM is highly desired
- Experience with resource management
- Comfortable working with cross functional teams and dealing with abstract data

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
