Job description

Typical pay range: $75 - $95 per hour

Remote, Contract
This opportunity is 1099 contract only. Remote work is allowed.

As a L&D SAP Implementation Consulting Manager, you would be responsible for:
  • Ensuring all projects are meeting or exceeding the terms in the client’s statement of work.
  • ­Conducting thorough needs and gap analyses in competencies, skills, processes, curricula, audience, organization, etc. and connecting the solution to business outcomes and metrics, which may involve documenting current and future-state business processes and mapping to user roles.
  • ­Designing and developing or guiding the development of instructionally sound, creative, and exemplary learning solutions with high impact results that leave a lasting effect (e.g., competency modeling, curriculum strategy and design, blended learning paths including ILT, eLearning, simulation, self-study, reflection, coaching, practice, etc.)
  • ­Managing client projects: delivering on time, on budget, and with unparalleled quality standards that fit within each client’s unique constraints.
  • ­Managing, motivating, and guiding internal and external Learning and Development teams.
  • ­Anticipating organizational changes that come with large-scale implementations.  
  • ­Working with clients to re-tool and re-skill their people, so they support the new way of doing business.
  • ­Building an approach that involves and engages those impacted by the change and ensuring appropriate sponsorship from management.
  • ­Facilitating creative working sessions and delivering training sessions.
  • ­Evaluating the effectiveness of training. 

  • Being a L&D SAP Consulting Manager requires:
  • Minimum of 10 years external learning and development project-based consulting/training or instructional design experience
  • Minimum of 5 years program/project management experience
  • ­SAP implementation training experience
  • Expert level experience in instructional design principles and best practices
  • Superior business/technical writing and editing skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a project manager using proven methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Significant experience working with people at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability influencing and supporting senior leadership
  •  Experience and comfort in ambiguous, agile, and flexible environments

  • It’s beneficial if you have professional certification (PMP, CLP, CPLP, CHRP) related to project management, change management, learning, or human resource management – as well as experience in the following:
  • ­   Competency design and development
  • ­   Curriculum design and development
  • ­   Blended training program design and development
  • ­   Process documentation and role mapping
  • ­   eLearning design using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, EnableNow, uPerform, WalkMe, Camtasia, etc.
  • ­   Big 4 Consulting experience
  • ­   Willingness to travel
