Your opportunity

Mission Australia is on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate Services Operations & Reporting Officer who will be pivotal in supporting and optimising the various systems and data used across our Service Delivery teams. In this essential role, you work with service stakeholders to ensure that all client data—whether it pertains to collection, utilisation, or reporting—is meticulously accurate, efficiently managed, and fully compliant with funder requirements and contractual obligations.

Beyond data management, your role will involve empowering our staff by providing essential training, troubleshooting system issues, and creating resources that enhance their ability to use our systems effectively and undertake their internal and external reporting obligations. You'll be an active contributor to our continuous improvement initiatives, working on cross-functional projects that drive innovation and efficiency across the organisation. Your work will not only ensure operational excellence but also directly contribute to our mission of making a lasting positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support service delivery staff to record and extract funder and internal data reporting requirements, including accurate mapping of funder requirements to MA systems, efficient loading of data to funder portals, and remediation of upload errors if required
  • Oversee and manage client support tickets related to system issues and data request, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with staff to minimise disruptions to service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively to support the implementation of new/expanding services, ensuring appropriate system setup, aligned with organisational, contractual and reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain resources for Service Delivery staff to support improved systems use and data quality
  • Proactively identify Service Delivery staff/programs for systems and data quality training based on prioritised need and deliver training and education that builds capacity within teams to use their own data and systems
  • Engage with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, training sessions, resource development and other activities to engage service delivery staff and encourage discussion
  • Actively contribute to the continual improvement of existing business systems and processes
  • Apply your skills, knowledge and experience within the cross-functional team to enable creative thinking and problem solving in a collaborative multi-disciplinary manner

Requirements for success

  • 3-5 years’ experience in community services, community development, or client service-based organisation. Human services or not-for-profit sector desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communication, IT Systems, Information Management, Business, Human Services or similar
  • Experience with client information management systems to extract, analyse and report on business performance
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to build strong, respectful relationships and to collaborate effectively to achieve business outcomes
  • Proven ability to synthesise and analyse information from a range of sources and systems

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
