Predictive Maintenance SupervisorPosition Overview
The Predictive Maintenance Supervisor will lead successful implementation of predictive maintenance programs at Shaw extrusion manufacturing plants and a team of Predictive Reliability Technicians. Leverage tools such as vibration analysis, ultrasound analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, electric motor testing, vibration analysis software, the Sharp work order system, and others. Partner with plant reliability teams and companywide resources to establish, promote, and implement equipment reliability strategies and best practices.

Essential Duties (Considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility):
Create, optimize, and maintain predictive maintenance programs on new and existing processes.
Advise on the best response to PdM findings based on failure timeline, equipment criticality, and cost of unplanned failure.
Create and maintain program documentation and procedures.
Meet with Technicians, Supervisors, Planners, Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineers, and Dept. Managers as needed to drive results.
Support Reliability programs at Shaw extrusion manufacturing sites 22, 78, 8S, 65, 70/86 and 8S.
Follow up with work requestors on priorities and other work request details.
Manage installation portion of capital and expensed projects as directed by reliability engineer.
Schedule contractors to complete work as needed and review contractor safety guidelines.
Supervise predictive maintenance personnel.
Maintain associate attendance records using Workforce. Apply all corporate policies.
Schedule associates efficiently to meet timelines and maintain worker productivity.
Administrate the SHARP work order system in relation to predictive reliability technician workflow.
Maintain compliance to the scheduled completion timeframes for plant and production equipment monitoring.
Coach and Support PdM technician I’s and II’s growth and development.
Ensure work environment is free of harassment and that the associates feel free to express problems and concerns.
Ensure materials for project work are available.
Aid in the management of PdM stock room items and inventories.
Train others in PdM, PM, and other maintenance skills.
Monitor and maintain departmental 5S/cleanliness.
Perform any other duties specified by the Reliability Engineer.
Education and Experience:
2 - 4-year Mechanical/Electrical Technology/Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
Or 5 – 10 years’ experience working with mechanical and/or electrical systems in predictive maintenance, mechanical, and/or electrical assignments.
Possess ISO Category II Vibration Analyst Certification
Possess and utilize working knowledge of vibration monitoring equipment.
Possess and utilize working knowledge of infrared inspection equipment.
Possess and utilize working knowledge of ultrasound monitoring equipment.
Possess and utilize working knowledge of electric motor testing equipment.
Possess and utilize working knowledge of oil analysis techniques and reports.
Possess the ability to analyze and recommend the correct response to vibration, infrared, ultrasound, electric motor, and oil analysis data with proven results.
Knowledgeable of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and all industry safety programs.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to submit PeopleSoft requisitions and, at times, determine approvals.
Must have working knowledge and help maintain environmental requirements.
Must have experience and knowledge of department processes and requirements.
Must have good communication and writing skills.
Serve on and support various teams and committees.
Travel is estimated about 25-45% depending on divisional needs and self-identified opportunities
Office geographic location is flexible to any Shaw Extrusion Plant w/ Flexibility to work from home when appropriate
