1. New Product Introduction & Deployment:
Lead the introduction of new software, infrastructure, and services into production environments.
Define and implement best practices for smooth deployment and transition of new features.
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure new releases are optimized for operational efficiency.
2. Infrastructure Readiness & Automation:
Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible) to automate the provisioning of new environments.
Ensure that new services comply with scalability, reliability, and security requirements before deployment.
Optimize infrastructure configurations for performance and cost efficiency.
3. CI/CD Integration & Deployment Optimization:
Validate and refine CI/CD pipelines to ensure that new releases are deployed seamlessly.
Work with DevOps teams to introduce automated testing and monitoring for new deployments.
Ensure rollback and contingency plans are in place for new releases.
4. Security & Compliance Validation:
Ensure that all new deployments adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
Work with security teams to assess vulnerabilities in new services before production rollout.
Conduct security and performance audits for newly introduced infrastructure components.
5. Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer:
Act as a liaison between development, operations, and security teams to ensure a smooth handover of new services.
Document deployment procedures, best practices, and operational runbooks.
Provide training and guidance to operations teams on supporting newly introduced services.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience:
5+ years of experience in NPI, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
3. Skills:
Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go).
Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
Fluency in English and Spanish.
4. Certifications (Preferred):
AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.
Google Professional Cloud Engineer.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
