As a Senior Analytics Engineer in a matrix organization you will own analytics datasets and pipelines for a specific product domain and work together with your cross-functional partners to improve our understanding of the area.
Our mission as the Analytics team is to improve the ability of Product, Operations and Data Science teams in M-KOPA to make data driven decisions.
In this role, you will build easy to understand and consistently modelled datasets to serve metrics, dashboards and exploratory analysis. You will also build data transformation pipelines, primarily by using SQL and Python in dbt + Airflow infrastructure
Together with your cross-functional partners you will define key metrics for the product area while you build easy to understand and consistently modelled datasets to serve metrics, dashboards and exploratory analysis.
Additionally, you will develop semantic models, build dashboards and coach users on how to use self-serve capabilities of our platform and work together with software engineers to ensure that the data necessary for analysis is captured well in our systems
For us applying best practices is important in order to build reliable, well tested, efficient, documented data assets.
This is a fully remote role, you would be working within the following time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3) with a diverse group of other employees working remotely from locations such as UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Analytics Engineering Team Lead.
Our expectation is that you have extensive proficiency with SQL, Python and experience working with orchestration systems such as airflow working with dbt.
Additionally, working with data warehouse technologies, and with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau and experience with dimensional data modelling for analytics / big data infrastructures would make you an ideal candidate for the role.
