Remote Advertising Sales Consultant

This is a remote position.

A media and communications company requires the skills of a professional with a passion for business development and sales, and a proven ability to deliver measurable results.

The role requires a results-oriented and target-driven approach to achieve success and offers flexible working hours, with varying daily commitments based on client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Source advertisers through various channels, including in-person meetings, email, telephone, and social media platforms for the publication/platform and special publications.
  
• Meet/exceed monthly output and sales targets consistently.
  
• Generate and follow up on sales leads and provide comprehensive after-sales service.
  
• Negotiate and finalise advertising space according to company guidelines and client specifications.
  
• Take client briefs and offer guidance and advice as necessary.
  
• Brief editor or graphic designer on client requirements.
  
• Source prizes and sponsors for competitions.
  
• Build and maintain a network of contacts and sources.
  
• Complete sales-related administrative tasks.
  
• Assist in ensuring prompt payment by clients.
  
• Willingness to attend networking events as required.
  

Business Development

• Research and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  
• Contribute to developing compelling sales pitches, proposals and presentations.
  
• Conduct follow-ups with leads and ensure conversion into long-term partnerships.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in advertising sales or related field preferred.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Results-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed targets.
  
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  
• Familiarity with advertising and media industry trends.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office.
  
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising Sales, Business Development, or related field preferred.
