Doctorate in Special Education or Applied Behavioral Analyst Certification.
All instructors must have a minimum of three years teaching or serving as ABA specialist to students with disabilities grades K-12 AND At least six graduate credits of classroom engagement or applied behavioral analysis or management of students with special needs.

Teacher candidates build upon the foundational knowledge to understand the multiple roles and complex situations of professional practice that require attention to a variety of legal, professional and ethical issues.”

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.
Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.
Respond to students” questions and emails within the established timeframes.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University”s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
