Job description

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join a fast-growing fintech company with an EMI license in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting the legal team in various regulatory and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents related to EMI regulations and fintech operations.
Supporting the compliance team in ensuring adherence to FCA regulations and other relevant legal frameworks.
Conducting legal research and staying updated on regulatory developments affecting the electronic money and payments industry.
Assisting with contract drafting, corporate governance, and internal legal policies.
Liaising with external legal advisors, regulators, and stakeholders.
Maintaining accurate legal records and documentation.

Requirements

Previous experience working in an EMI (Electronic Money Institution) is a must.
Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations related to fintech, payments, and electronic money.
Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
Excellent legal research and document drafting skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English and Russian (both written and spoken).

Nice To Have

Experience working with FCA regulatory filings and requirements.
Previous experience in a fintech company, PSP, or regulated financial institution.
Understanding of GDPR and data protection laws in the UK.
