Job description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team. This opportunity is open to candidates located in Bulgaria or Greece.

Requirements:

Deep understanding of data architecture principles, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming pipelines.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to support the growth of team members.
Strong expertise with Apache Spark, Python, and SQL for Big Data processing.
Previous experience leading development teams or serving in a senior/lead engineering role.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Github Actions)
Experience with cloud security
Nice to have: Relevant certifications, such as, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure Azure solutions.
Implement Azure services (e.g., Synapse, Functions, SQL Database) for performance and availability.
Lead code reviews to ensure project quality.
Use SQL for tasks beyond data transformation.
Design and enhance Data Warehouse architecture.
Troubleshoot Azure-related issues and mentor team members in problem-solving.
Translate business requirements to technical specifications.
Stay updated on Azure trends and propose innovative solutions to advance client capabilities.
