Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Administrator to join our globally distributed team. This role is critical in managing user access and ensuring our internal IT systems (OKTA, Jamf Pro, Google Workspace, GMail, JIRA, Confluence, and more) run smoothly and securely. Initially reporting into the DevOps team, the position may transition into a dedicated IT department as our company continues to scale. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can manage and optimize user access, JIRA workflows, JIRA Service Requests, and other key tools, while supporting our compliance initiatives such as ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications.

Key Responsibilitie

JIRA & Confluence Administration:

Advanced configuration and optimization of JIRA projects, workflows, permission schemes, and issue types.
Tailor JIRA and Confluence environments to meet diverse team needs, ensuring seamless integration and efficient collaboration.

Assets and Access Management:

Manage and maintain user access and permissions to core systems (OKTA, Google Workspace, GMail), ensuring robust authentication and authorization controls.
Conduct regular audits and adjust entitlements as necessary, maintaining strict adherence to security and compliance requirements.
Asset Management and Administration of MDM and Identity Management (Jamf Pro and OKTA)

Systems Configuration & Support:

Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of new and existing IT systems: ~80 different systems
Serve as a first point of contact for IT issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate.

Compliance & Security Support:

Support the implementation and ongoing compliance efforts related to ISO27001 and SOC2 frameworks.
Ensure IT operational practices align with documented policies, controls, and best practices.
Work with compliance and security teams to provide relevant audit evidence and maintain required documentation.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement:

Develop and maintain thorough documentation for JIRA configurations, IT workflows, and onboarding guides.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enforce security controls, and drive best practices as the IT function evolves.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with DevOps, Security, HR, and other teams to ensure IT systems and processes support organizational objectives and compliance milestones.
Adapt to evolving organizational structures, taking on additional responsibilities as the IT department forms.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of JIRA administration, including advanced workflow configuration, custom fields, permission schemes, and automation.
Experience administering identity and access management platforms (e.g., OKTA) and collaboration suites (Google Workspace).
Familiarity with Confluence and other Atlassian tools.
Understanding of basic security, data protection, and compliance principles, especially related to ISO27001 and SOC2.

Soft Skills:

Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Proven ability to communicate effectively within a remote, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Experience:

Exposure to DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
Startup or fast-paced technology company experience is an advantage.
Previous involvement in compliance-related projects or audits (ISO27001, SOC2) is a plus.
